About the Role:
We are looking for an existing (or developing) expert who is passionate about caring for mental health patients. Currumbin Clinic is a 104 bed mental health hospital located 500m from the beach on the Gold Coast. Working together with a part time technician we are looking for a pharmacist who wants to provide exceptional clinical services, medication supply and leadership to this busy hospital. You’ll need to be able to work independently and communicate exceptionally with patients, nurses, doctors and hospital administrators. The successful candidate will be required to work 7 hours per day, Monday to Friday, working from 11.00am to 6.00pm.
Reporting to the Area Manager, your main duties will include:
- Providing exceptional patient care through clinical pharmacy services and medication supply
- Delivering the highest standard of pharmacy services across the hospital
- Developing strong working relationships with key hospital staff
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to maximise patient outcomes
- Ensuring pharmacy operates ethically and in accordance regulations and policies and procedures
About You:
The person we are looking for will ideally possess the following skills & credentials:
- A recognised Pharmacy degree with current AHPRA registration
- Knowledge and understanding of private hospital pharmacy (an advantage)
- Experience, interest or aptitude in mental health pharmacy
- Ability to prioritise workload and forward plan
- Demonstrated ability to effectively and independently solve problems
- An enthusiastic and positive can-do attitude
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong drive and initiative
- Exceptional customer service focus
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency in FRED Dispense system & iPharmacy
