Where you'll be working

What you'll be doing
The Occupational therapy position is based at Cumberland hospital to provide a high quality clinical service to clients/ patients and their families and carers across the acute and recovery services. The position ensures provision of evidence based interventions in order to meet the health and wellbeing needs of clients/ patients with mental health issues.

Essential Criteria:

 

Vaccination Category: A
Checks: National Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check
License: Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia
Qualification: Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
Registration: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated skills and relevant clinical experience in providing comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessment of clients with mental health issues.
  2. Demonstrated skills in the provision of therapeutic interventions based on evidence based practice for clients with mental health and psychosocial needs.
  3. Demonstrated proficient written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  4. Proven ability to work both autonomously and as a member of a multidisciplinary team and prioritise a busy caseload.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional education and quality improvement.
