Position Type:  Temporary full-time, (to cover various periods of leave throughout the next 12 months). 

Salary: Salary range of $4751.90 - $5090.40 p.f. (Nurse Grade 9), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%). 

About Ayr and Home Hill Health Services
Ayr and Home Hill Health Services serve a population of 17,000 people and have two facilities; these are the Ayr and Home Hill Hospitals. Managerial and corporate services are located at Ayr Hospital.  The Ayr and Home Hill Health Services provide a multitude of services including: Acute Care, Long Stay Care, Accident and Emergency, Surgery, Outpatients and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Primary Health Care Services include Hospital and School Dental, Aboriginal and Islander Health, Community Nursing, Community Mental Health, Child Health, Health Promotion, School Based Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medical Imaging, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work and Pharmacy.  A number of visiting services are also provided. These include Paediatrics and Gastroenterology. 

About the role
The Director of Nursing/Facility Manager is accountable for leadership, innovation and excellence in the provision of care and service delivery to the clients of the health service. In collaboration with the Medical Superintendent of Ayr Health Service and the Rural Hospitals Service Group the Director of Nursing/Facility Manager will provide service direction, coordination, strategic planning and efficient and effective use of financial, human and material resources.

Roles that have a direct contact with patients or who in the course of their work may be exposed to blood/body fluids or contaminated sharps are required to be immunised for Hepatitis B. 
Roles that have contact that would allow acquisition and/or transmission of measles, mumps, rubella, varicella or pertussis, and have face to face contact with patients and/or work in a clinical area require evidence of immunisation of the aforementioned diseases.
