It is an exciting time at St George’s with the expansion of the Peter Volk Apartments.  The refurbishment is based on contemporary person-centred care using innovative technology and equipment, and provides apartment style living for residents.

The Position
Benetas St George’s is seeking casual nursing staff in a number of EN and RN roles.  In these fast-paced roles, you will be responsible for providing person-centred clinical support and care to our residents.  Your main accountabilities will include:

  • Providing excellent resident care in relation to specialised nursing needs (i.e. management of diabetes, wounds, infections, pain and medications)
  • Completing resident assessments and related care documents
  • Working with medical professionals to deliver planned care and achieve best resident outcomes
  • Undertaking clinical monitoring of residents and escalating changes as required
  • Providing guidance to other staff in relation to resident care and documentation processes.

Skills and Experience
To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:

  • Division 1 (Registered Nurse) or Division 2 (Enrolled Nurse) AHPRA registration
  • A collaborative approach to working with residents, staff, colleagues and other key stakeholders
  • Able to maintain documentation to accreditation standards
  • Ability to build relationships through a friendly and positive approach.
