We are seeking an experienced Project Officer to work within the Cancer Prevention and Research division and the Make Smoking History (MSH) team.

Reporting to the MSH Manager and working with internal and external stakeholders you will be responsible for assisting with the successful delivery of the MSH Priority Settings project.

Your other main responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain and report on the current status of all project activities and ensure they are implemented
  • Continuously monitor and analyse the project process and identify areas for growth and development
  • Work directly with Community Service Organisations to implement MSH projects.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Who are you?

To be successful in this role you will have the following key attributes:

  • A tertiary qualification in a health related profession
  • Demonstrated 2+ years’ experience in a project role
  • Knowledge of tobacco control issues
  • Experience or understanding of working with vulnerable groups is desirable
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Proven organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA
  • Actively foster the development of a culture consistent with the values of Cancer Council WA
  • Positive approach to the workplace

Based in Subiaco, this position is a full time and fixed term until 31 December 2019.
