The Position

St John of God Midland Public & Private Hospital has a new opportunity available for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our friendly and dynamic Allied Health team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the provision of quality occupational therapy services. You will be required to manage a clinical caseload, including developing, implementing and evaluating OT intervention on an individual and group basis.

This position is being offered as a permanent part-time role, working 19 hours per week over 4 (four) days during school hours (9.30am – 2.30pm). The successful candidate will be required to manage a generic caseload including Orthopaedics and General Medical.

The Requirements

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) or approved equivalent and registration with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated experience within an acute care Hospital setting in the provision of Occupational Therapy inpatient services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate treatment skills and ability to plan, develop and evaluate occupational therapy programs.
  • Demonstrated well developed written and verbal communication skills including report writing and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated well developed problem solving and time management skills.
