Position Summary
We are currently seeking an honest and reliable physiotherapist to service Aged Care Facilities. We operate in multiple sites across Sydney and Melbourne and currently we are seeking for Physios to operate in sites located in Southern NSW / Wollongong / Hurstville. Overseas Graduated Physiotherapists seeking limited registration and local new graduates are encouraged to apply - full training and assistance with application / license process will be provided. Opportunities for career development and progression into leadership roles are available within the company.
Working as an aged care physiotherapist requires sound clinical reasoning, excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise and manage workload and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Functional assessments
- Design care plan and care directives
- Falls risk assessment and prevention plan
- Conduct group exercises
- Provide pain management treatments
- Equipment prescription and ordering
- Manual handling education
- Understand and comply with ACFI requirements (training provided)
Qualifications and Skills
A successful candidate must have:
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- Excellent communication skills
- Eye for detail
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Flexibility to travel, preferably with own car and license
- Current Police check, or ability to obtain one
- Limited Registration Physios - Must have valid English score / Rights to live and work in Australia
