The Role:
As part of the new national cardiovascular specialist team, your core focus will be to maximise sales of Amgen's innovative lipid lowering biologic across your territory. Your key customers include Cardiologists, Endocrinologists and related healthcare professionals. The position reports to the National Sales Manager (NSM) and is a full-time, permanent role.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of Amgen in this competitive therapeutic space with a biologic medicine providing a new solution to patients with serious illness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Builds trusted partnerships with customers and providing differentiated value through promotion of products, education and support. Provides voice of the customer feedback in development of strategy
- Collaborate with the NSM to develop and implement territory plan and key account plans, with ongoing evaluation, tracking and course correction
- Meet customer and territory KPI's, report customer activity in CRM system and ensure customer profiles are kept up-to-date
- Maintain high customer-centric focus, following through on customer commitments and requests in a timely fashion
- Demonstrates knowledge of industry and healthcare trends, hospital and account management, clinics and competitive landscape.
- Work to the Amgen selling platform to satisfy customer and Amgen needs
- Demonstrated commitment to personal development. Continuously develop and advance product knowledge, communication, selling skills and competencies, engaging with peers and Manager to learn and share best practices
- Manage to the agreed expense budget aligned with product priorities
- Operate with highest level of integrity, compliance and ethical decision-making
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- 3-5 years Field Sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry within the Hospital/Specialist environment is essential, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding KPI targets
- Previous experience selling Cardiovascular, Endocrinology, Rheumatology products at Hospital/Specialist level will be highly regarded
- Proactive self-management in owning your business and driving results.
- Demonstrated strengths in business acumen, strategic or entrepreneurial thinking and a customer experience mindset
- Strengths in building trusted partnerships with customers and providing differentiated value through promotion of products, education and support
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to drive success through teamwork and engagement
- Strengths in agility, personal drive and resilience with leadership attributes that positively influence team behaviours
- Confident interpersonal and communication skills at all levels across the organisation
- Compliance focused: strong integrity, ethical decision-making and judgement
- Experience with relevant computer systems (CRM databases and MS Office)
- Fluency in English, both in oral and written communication
- Completion of Medicines Australia certification
- Valid driver's licence and Work rights in Australia mandatory
- Degree in life science or (bio) medical sciences and relevant therapeutic knowledge well regarded
