The unaccredited ENT registrar is responsible for the day to day running of the unit in partnership with the accredited registrar, resident and fellow. This includes but is not limited to:
- Day to day inpatient and referral management
- The appropriate booking of theatre lists and clinics
- Attending 3-4 clinics per week
- Attending general ENT & head and neck theatres as appropriate
- Participation in oncall roster
- Ensuring equity in workload between registrars, resident and fellow
The candidate will possess:
- A keen interest in pursuing a career in the ENT field
- Strong leadership skills

- Strategic thinking and planning abilities
- Well developed communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Proven track record in the pursuit of clinical excellence
- Experience in the implementation of quality improvement, work practice reform and change within a large organization
