What you'll be doing
The Project officer will work towards the goals of the project as guided by the project lead and SCHN Hip Surveillance Project Committee.

The role may also include collaboration with Local Health Districts to establish recommendations for partnerships and integrated care models for hip surveillance closer to where children live.

The Project Officer will work closely with identified stakeholders including SCHN rehab and orthopaedic departments; paediatricians; local health providers and consumers.


  • Relevant tertiary qualification in health or other appropriate discipline and/or relevant experience in of disability.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability in project management, including high level organisational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-direct and work unsupervised and problem solve with limited direction.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including consumers and health care staff from health and non-government sectors.
  • Excellent analytical skills including ability to interpret complex information and prepare and present analysis and reports.
  • Demonstrated ability with IT software including Excel and other Microsoft products.
