The Company
International Health and Medical Services (IHMS) provides health care for people in immigration detention throughout Australia. We do this in line with Australian standards for health services and with the RACGP Standards for health services in Australian immigration detention centres.
The position
Seeking expressions of interest for an exciting opportunity as locum for a Child and Adolescent Psychologist in the Pacific working a 6 week rotation. The person in this role will be delivering psychology services to a small population on a Pacific Island.
Required Skills / Knowledge
• At least 4 years relevant CAMHS experience.
• Motivated to provide a high quality service.
• Works well as part of a multidisciplinary team and in a nurse-led clinical environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate with staff, clients and management.
• Well organised and time efficient.
• Knowledge and experience of working with culturally diverse client groups or a willingness to develop this.
• Experience with computerised medical records and medical practice systems is highly desirable.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor of Psychology, Adult, adolescent and child qualified
• Full AHPRA medical registration as a Psychologist.
