About the Opportunity:

NoosaCare is committed to expand its Allied Health Team due to the recent expansion and organisation grow, coupled with the ever changing needs of our residents. This is as well an exciting and interesting time as we adopt an innovative model of care.

We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, promote innovation, inspires great thinking, and is passionate about providing high standards of care to our residents. The position is Full-time. Reporting to the Group Care Manager and working directly with NoosaCare residents, you will assume responsibility for and drive the best possible outcomes for the organisation and our residents.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent  in Occupational Therapy and eligibility for membership to your Professional body
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workloads according to resident's needs.
  • A high level of integrity and strong work ethic
  • Experience in an Aged Care Setting with a knowledge of ACFI assessments, 4B (Pain Management Program) and documentation desirable.
  • Well-developed organisation, negotiation, facilitation and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised therapy services enabling older people to maintain functional capacity, prevent deterioration, maximise quality of life and to re-engage with community activities.
  • Contribute to our staff Wellness initiatives, orientation and training programs and provide workplace assessments for staff.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments that identify the resident's functional capacity, strengths and lifestyle goals and develop holistic, individualised client focused therapy plans in partnership with the resident and NoosaCare Allied Health team.
