THE ORGANISATION
Our client is a large organisation working across multiple health sectors including private hospitals. They are currently looking for a dynamic and motivated Perioperative Nurse Educator to join one of their hospitals in the Canberra area.
THE ROLE
Within this role you will be responsible for the development and delivery of high quality, innovative and responsive educational programs that assist in the clinical and professional development of nursing staff.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant clinical and education qualifications
- Experience working as a Perioperative Nurse and ideally some exposure as an Educator
- Knowledge of innovative educational strategies, tools and approaches
- The ability to work collaboratively, with effective communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to ongoing professional development
- Computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system
- An integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills
- Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment
- Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA
