About the role

Mater Mother’s Private Hospital is seeking enthusiastic and experienced administrator to join us in the capacity of Customer Liaison Officer on a permanent full-time basis.

Mater Mother’s Private Hospital is a leader in the provision of high quality maternity and newborn services for the people of Queensland and northern New South Wales. Providing exceptional care and support of women and their families, Mater Mother’s Private Hospital offers integrated services covering obstetrics, gynaecology, neonatology, and maternal fetal medicine.

In this role you will responsible for increasing private patient bookings through the early identification of patients booking publically but holding private health insurance.  The role acts as a liaison point for all or any private patients requiring assistance throughout the early component of their pregnancy journey.

Salary - $30.88 - $34.52 per hour plus superannuation

What you’ll be doing

To be successful in this position will require engaging with key stakeholders, undertaking benefits realisation and progress reporting, preparing reports and submissions, and developing and communicating change initiatives.

Your key accountabilities in this role will include:

  • Monitoring information in order to identify new potential private patients,
  • Act as an initial consistent point of contact for patients with regards to all aspects of their interaction with Mater Mother’s Private Hospital (MMPH);
  • Coordinate with related departments, wards and areas in order to collate requested information for the patient;
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external clients at all times;
  • Facilitate ‘meet and greets’ and MMPH facility tours for prospective customers;
  • Establish rapport and liaise with GPs and Specialists rooms to obtain Patient information / enquires for admission.
  • Private Health Fund knowledge in line with Health Fund Contracts to ensure maximum revenue is obtained;
  • Assist patients with booking into the hospital;
  • Follow-up with patients during their time in hospital.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in business development.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the health industry and the importance of relationship marketing with medical professionals.
  • Excellent communication with the ability to effectively liaise and build rapport with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including patients.
  • High level analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Accurate data entry skills with a high level proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • A positive attitude and approach to work in a team environment.
