About the role

The key purpose of this position is to implement the Queensland Health Dual Diagnosis policy statement and strategy in the Townsville Hospital and Health Service through direct clinical work with consumers with dual diagnosis and providing Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Service (ATODS), Mental Health Service Group and other clinicians with education, training, consultation and supervision resulting in quality outcomes for consumers with dual diagnosis.

What's on offer?

  • Temporary part-time position (48 hours per fortnight) commencing ASAP up to 21/10/2018.
  • Total remuneration package value up to $10,663.75 p.m. comprising salary range of $3995.00 - $4298.90 p.f. (HP4).
  • Total remuneration package value up to $11,160.67p.m. comprising salary range of $4132.10 - $4486.00 p.f. (Nurse Grade 7).
  • Recreational Leave with 17.5% loading.
  • Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.

Mandatory Requirements

  • For Occupational Therapy, the successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Occupational Therapy. Registration with the Occupational Therapist Board Australia (AHPRA) is required.
  • For Psychology, the successful applicant must possess a four-year degree in Psychology from an accredited tertiary institution. Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) is required. Possession of a Masters or Doctoral degree in clinical psychology or forensic psychology from an accredited tertiary institution, or significant progress towards this, would be highly regarded.
  • For Social Work, the successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Social Work as well as eligibility for full membership to the AASW. While not mandatory, status as an AASW accredited Mental Health Social Worker is highly regarded.
  • For Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and registration with AHPRA and possession of a current practising certificate. Relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualifications in mental health nursing would be highly regarded.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a “C” class motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required.
