About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated Medical Receptionist who will work efficiently, as a part of our team.
This is a part-time position offering at least 15 hours a week. More hours will be available during periods of other staff members’ leave. The successful candidate must be able to work any morning, afternoon, evening shifts, be prepared to fill in shifts when required and be available at short notice.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of reception both cooperatively and independently
- Answer and accommodate patient requests in person and over the phone
- Support and assist doctors, nurses and allied health practitioners
- Liaise with suppliers and other healthcare providers
- Perform various administrative and bookkeeping tasks
Skills & Experience
- Must have prior experience in Medical Reception role in a medium to large clinic
- Full Australian working rights
- Available to work on short notice
- Experience using Practice Management software (we use Best Practice)
- A patient-focused approach in service provision with genuine empathy and interest in their needs.
