The School of Health Professions currently comprises the disciplines of Nursing, Chiropractic and Counselling. The School is headquartered at the University’s campus in Mandurah and offers courses of study at Mandurah and at the main South Street Campus in Perth. The core undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered in the School are accredited by the relevant professional bodies and provide students with professional career entry pathways. The discipline areas are well resourced with nursing students having access to learning resources and clinical demonstration and simulation wards located on each campus.

The Role

Working across both the Mandurah and South Street campuses, the role contributes to the teaching effort of the School through the performance of a range of administrative and service functions within the School and across the University. Contributing to team based scholarly research outputs, supervision of honours and postgraduate students where appropriate and other professional activities relevant to the discipline, are also fundamental duties of the Lecturer Nursing.

Skills and Experience

  • A Master’s degree in Nursing or similar relevant area, with either a PhD or demonstrated progress towards a PhD desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in bioscience related to health and clinical nursing practice
  • Well established networks in the field of bioscience and health.
  • Understanding of and commitment to, evidence based teaching and demonstrated knowledge of contemporary approaches to curriculum and pedagogy related to science and nursing education.
