Senior Lead Registered Nurse – Central Plaza Doctors

Central Plaza Doctors is a well-renowned general practice focused on meeting the healthcare needs of the local community and surrounding areas. 

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Lead Registered Nurse for a permanent position.

This a Full-time position, however Permanent Part-time may be considered

Remuneration is Above Award

Responsibilities

• ·Oversee and contribute to all Nurse functions of the medical centre including treatment room support, chronic disease management, and occupational health.

• · Work closely with the Practice Manager to ensure adequate and efficient nurse rostering and resource allocation at all times.

•   Ongoing supervision, mentoring and clinical development of the nurse team – including orientation of new nurses.

•   Ensure at all times the highest level of customer service via optimal communication, presentation and professional expertise.

•   Recognise and uphold the rights of all patients and candidates accessing services, including maintaining cultural sensitivity.

• Triage and assisting doctors with general patient care including surgical procedure setup.
• Provide high quality medical assessment primarily for pre-employment medical assessments, including hearing (audiometry exams), spirometry (lung function assessment), vision screening, musculoskeletal examinations, functional capacity evaluations, drug and alcohol screenings and other relevant requirements

•   Responsibility and management of the centre’s recall and reminder system.

•   Order and restock medical supplies, linen and other equipment in line with budgetary requirements.

• Working collaboratively with the Practice Manger to ensure accreditation, appraisals and reports are completed in a timely manner.

• Ensure equipment is well maintained for safe and accurate use e.g. calibration of equipment, expiration dates.

•   Comply with privacy and confidentiality principles to all work practices including the Fullerton Health Australia policies and procedures.

Requirements

·        Current unrestricted nursing registration with AHPRA

·        Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred

·        Previous experience in General Practice is essential

·        CPR Certification

·        Current Australian drivers licence

·        Exceptional customer service skills

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·        Commitment to best practice

·        Commitment to ethical behaviour and conduct

·        Working With Children Check

·        National Police Clearance
