Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC2) Adolescent Health, Forensic Hospital
The Forensic Hospital is an integral part of the Forensic Mental Health Network and is operated by the Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Network. Located at Malabar this purpose-built 135-bed facility provides high-quality specialised care to male and female, young people and adult forensic patients, in a high-secure therapeutic environment.
The Forensic Hospital currently has a permanent full time CNC Grade 2 position available for an AHPRA registered nurse who holds post basic qualification in Mental Health, or working towards, and a minimum of five years recent clinical experience in inpatient mental health. While working at the Forensic Hospital you will develop strong professional connections with colleges and be making a positive contribution to vulnerable people. - Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- At least 5 years fulltime equivalent post registration clinical experience, including 3 years fulltime clinical experience in mental
- Proven clinical leadership skills
- Demonstrated experience in managing patients with complex presentations
- Demonstrated expert knowledge of Mental Health Nursing theory and practice
- Sound knowledge of the principals of risk assessment/management and therapeutic security in the forensic setting
- Sound working knowledge of relevant NSW Mental Health Legislation and other legal frameworks
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills including verbal and written
