Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.
An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic Un-accredited Neurosurgery Registrar to join ourNeurosurgery Unit in 2019.
Details of Department:
The Neurosurgery Department is located at the Austin Hospital and is committed to the provision of high quality patient care, and maintains an ongoing commitment to under-graduate and post-graduate teaching. The Neurosurgery Unit is also a consultative service for other Units within Austin Health.
Details of position/position requirements
- To provide comprehensive management of inpatients and outpatients
- To manage the surgical waiting list equitably
- To participate in an on-call service as required
- To demonstrate a commitment to working as a team member with peer medical, resident, nursing and other staff to provide efficient, safe, and quality care across the continuum
- To participate in the auditing & review of clinical practices to improve clinical outcomes, and
- To attend the Division of Surgery audit and Surgical Grand Rounds
To be successful in this role you must:
- Be a registered Medical Practitioner in Australia, and
- Demonstrate appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of Neurosurgery
