The Bethanie Group is the largest not for profit provider of aged care services and retirement villages in Western Australia, providing over 60 years of professional care services between Geraldton and Bunbury.  With a company size of around 1800 people across 25 locations, we are a diverse and complex business. 

We are seeking 3 x experienced Registered Nurses to join the team at our Elanora facility located in Bunbury on a Casual basis.  Our RN’s, in consultation with the site manager are responsible for clinical care and case management.  Supervision, direction, support and leadership of nursing and care/support staff will also be required.

This role requires experienced Registered Nurses who are dynamic & flexible and are able to provide strong leadership & interpersonal communication skills to the clinical staff. It’s a hands-on role, in which the RN will lead and develop the team to ensure the deliver high quality care to all clients. 

To be considered you will are required to be flexible in your availability to cover a range of shifts (morning, afternoon, evening) from Monday to Sunday.  Shift times range between the following:

• 6am - 2.30pm
• 2pm - 10.30pm
• 10pm - 6:30am

Key Responsibilities:

• Takes immediate action to ensure nursing care is delivered in a safe and effective manner providing direction to enrolled nurses and care workers
• Directs and coordinates care given by care workers and enrolled nurses
• Completes assessment and/or admission requirements
• Ensures care plan changes reflect any change of care recipient’s condition
• Maintains an effective referral system to senior nursing staff, medical staff and/or allied health staff
• Ensures that clinical records reflect care, in line with all accreditation standards and legislative requirements
• Provides coaching/mentoring/training to staff along where required

Requirements:

• Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group Inc
• Holds a Bachelor of Science (Nursing)
• Currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Relevant Clinical experience in the Aged Care environment including a solid understanding of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards
• Knowledge of and experience with ACFI documentation
• Ability to lead and work as part of a team
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good computer skills, with confidence to use Microsoft Office packages and clinical information systems
• Clinical report writing skills
• Empathy for the aged
• Current Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain one
