We have an exciting opportunity available for a Registered Nurse to be part of the Victorian Government initiative located in Balwyn.
SUPERCARE PHARMACY INITIATIVE
The Department of Health and Human Services introduced the 'Supercare Pharmacy Initiative' in 2016 opening five 24 hour pharmacies across metropolitan and regional Victoria. In 2017 they extended the five pharmacies to include an additional seven 24 hour pharmacies. Within the 24 hour pharmacies is a nurse-led clinic which operates between 6pm and 10pm offering free healthcare to the local community. The nurse is available for triage, assessment and treatment of minor conditions such as wounds, burns, rashes, coughs and colds, advice and education, and referral on to other healthcare providers.

Rostered Hours: Wednesday 6.00pm to 10.00pm
Key Qualifications:
- Registered Nurses with extensive experience in primary, community or acute healthcare.
- Immunisation Accreditation preferred but not essential
- Nurses employed as part of the Supercare Initiative will need to undergo;
- Mental health first aid training
- CPR and IEMR training
- Working with Children's Check
Clinical Duties include:
Clinical duties will include triage, assessment, immunisations, wound management, health screening, health promotion, education and maintaining clinical documentation.
Successful candidates will have a demonstrated understanding of the needs of primary or community healthcare including ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations, whilst working in an autonomous role. Additional information is contained in the position description.
