North Coast Primary Health Network (NCPHN) has a vacancy for an Aboriginal Health Manager to lead North Coast Primary Health Network’s (NCPHN) Aboriginal Community Engagement program and facilitate meaningful participation ensuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives are incorporated into NCPHN’s priorities, programs and commissioning activities.

Addressing the health needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living on the North Coast is one of NCPHN’s six priorities. A particular focus of this work is Indigenous mental health. This senior Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person will work closely and collaborate with key stakeholders to identify, address and evaluate strategies related to improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Please note that significant travel and work outside standard office hours may be a requirement of this role.

This position is full time (38 hours per week) for a maximum term up to 30 June 2021. Base work location is negotiable, but Ballina is preferred.

This position is classified as Support Services Level 9 under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award with a commencing salary range of $39.00 to $40.97 per hour (above Award rate) depending on skills and experience.
