Our Ward Clerks provide outstanding customer care to patients and their families. This is a great role for experienced and patient care focused individuals who are wanting to achieve work-life balance and a dynamic career in Healthcare.

As a Ward Clerk your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing patient centre customer service including:
    • Greet all customer
    • Handle enquires with a friendly and professional manner
    • Manage clerical and administrative responsibilities
    • Maintain accurate and timely patient information data collection and processing of medical records
  • Assist nursing staff and Doctor’s with indirect patient care under the supervision of Nurse Managers

Knox Private Hospital is the largest private hospital in the eastern and south eastern corridor of Melbourne. We operate 359 patient beds, 11 theatres, a 24 hour Emergency Department, an on-site medical team, a 10 bed Intensive Care Unit, a 10 bed Coronary Care Unit and a Day Procedure Unit. We offer a broad range of acute services, with over 25 specialty areas and are leaders in cardiac and general surgery, obstetrics, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, urology, plastics and vascular surgery.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in an acute patient focused Healthcare facility/Hospital
  • Highly developed interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary work environments
  • Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts- 7 day rotating rosters
