Located in the medical hub of the Sutherland shire, Sports Medicine Institute (SMI) is a well-established multi-disciplinary practice that has an outstanding reputation for providing positive outcomes and the highest level of specialist care for its patients.

The Sutherland shire and surrounding areas have an ever-growing demand for the specialist discipline of sports and exercise medicine due to the high participation rate in local sports, increase in chronic disease epidemiology, ageing population and the need for the specialist services relating to injury management.  SMI offers a multi-disciplinary approach to the treatment of sports, work and lifestyle injuries, management of chronic disease and rehabilitation all under one roof.

The fully integrated sports medicine clinic incorporates our very own purposely designed Genisys Gymnasium, encompassing all areas of fitness, therapy, rehabilitation and medicine.   Our ideology that "exercise is medicine" is the key driver in providing our patients with positive outcomes using varying treatment and rehabilitation options which allow them to transition back into health and fitness, leading to improved health and lifestyle.

About the Practice Manager role

The practice manager role will take lead in the front office duties and administrative tasks to ensure that we create the highest level of patient centred care, service and professionalism in a busy and fast moving multi-disciplinary Sports Medicine Practice.

You will need to be a highly motivated, experienced and solution-based practice manager that possesses the following skills and abilities

ESSENTIAL

  • Previous experience as a practice manager in a private setting or operational experience in a hospital or health services industry
  • Advanced knowledge in medical terminology and medical administration
  • High end understanding of Medicare and HICAPS billings systems and their integration with our medical software
  • Strong administrative skills with a view to continually improve processes and efficiencies
  • Great attention to detail with and completing tasks with high proficiency
  • Advanced knowledge using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Previous bookkeepingand account reconciliation experience
  • Able to "think outside the box" in providing solutions to key processes and procedures
  • Ability to create marketing collateral such as newsletters and brochures

 

DESIRED

  • Previous experience in using Genie medical software
  • Previous experience in the functionality of MYOB including processing of wages and leave entitlements
  • Add to or make changes to our website and social media profiles.
