Permanent Part Time or Full Time – Up to 80 hours per fortnight

An exciting opportunity exists for a Nurse Practitioner to be part of a new and innovative model of care within our Urgent Care Centre.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • Expert clinical knowledge and skill-base in Emergency Nursing

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential Attributes

KSC1         Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner

KSC2         Three to five years’ demonstrated experience at an advanced level of clinical nursing practice in a specialty area deemed relevant to the Nurse Practitioner role being applied for

KSC3         Demonstrated knowledge of Nurse Practitioner professional standards, legal and ethical requirements

KSC4         Evidence of expert clinical knowledge and skill-base in the identified specialty context

KSC5         Evidence of high-level verbal and written skills

KSC6         Demonstrated ability for professional dialogue with senior clinicians and management personnel

KSC7         Evidence of well-developed clinical, analytical and problem solving skills

KSC8         Evidence of commitment to the development, delivery and evaluation of education and teaching in the work environment

KSC9         Demonstrated commitment to maintaining evidence-based best practice, through a thorough knowledge of research processes and their application to practice

KSC10       Evidence of excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop networks and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

KSC11       Advanced Clinical Life Support certificate (current)

KSC12       Driver’s Licence and National Police Certificate

Desirable

KSC13       Demonstrated ability to work with various computer software packages (primarily Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel) and a willingness to learn databases that are an integral part of patient management within the relevant scope of practice

KSC14       Postgraduate Diploma (or equivalent) in the nursing specialty relevant to the scope of practice

KSC15       Membership with Australian College of Nurse Practitioners (or equivalent professional organisation)
