ABOUT THE ROLE:
The After Hours Nursing Coordinator, is a key member of the nursing management team providing operational management, clinical professional leadership and supervision after hours. You will be a vital link between the "in hours" and "after hours" nursing / midwifery teams while assuming the responsibilities for patient access and casual staffing allocations after hours, ensuring effective patient throughput and adequate resources are available to meet identified needs.
- PPT 24 hours per fortnight ongoing plus 40 hours perfortnight until December 2018
- Shifts include evenings, nights and wekends
- Will consider job share and those wanting night shifts only
ABOUT YOU:
- Registered Nurse or dual Registered Nurse / Midwife with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Have completed a post graduate year or have extensive experience in a leadership role of AUM or higher
- Demonstrate a dynamic, positive and flexible attitude and enjoy working in a team environment
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- High level attention to detail and ability to prioritise several issues at once
- Calm under pressure and “can-do” attitude
- Flexibility, as required to cover roster shortfalls
