ABOUT THE ROLE:

The After Hours Nursing Coordinator, is a key member of the nursing management team providing operational management, clinical professional leadership and supervision after hours. You will be a vital link between the "in hours" and "after hours" nursing / midwifery teams while assuming the responsibilities for patient access and casual staffing allocations after hours, ensuring effective patient throughput and adequate resources are available to meet identified needs.

  • PPT 24 hours per fortnight ongoing plus 40 hours perfortnight until December 2018   
  • Shifts include evenings, nights and wekends
  • Will consider job share and those wanting night shifts only

 

ABOUT YOU:

  • Registered Nurse or dual Registered Nurse / Midwife with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Have completed a post graduate year or have extensive experience in a leadership role of AUM or higher
  • Demonstrate a dynamic, positive and flexible attitude and enjoy working in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • High level attention to detail and ability to prioritise several issues at once
  • Calm under pressure and “can-do” attitude
  • Flexibility, as required to cover roster shortfalls
