The Position
St John of God Geelong Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an appropirately credentialled Diabetes Educator to join our Continuum of Care team in providing an exceptional clinical education and support service to patients, visitors and caregivers.
This position will be offered on a permanent part time basis, with 30 hours per fortnight (0.4FTE) on offer for the successful candidate. The shift pattern for this position is negotiable, and will be discussed at interview.

The successful candidate will have:
- A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA).
- Credentialed A.D.E.A. member (or working towards).
- Ability to use initiative, demonstrate reliability, be self-reliant and motivated.
- Shows evidence of continuing education and commitment to the provision of quality health care.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, ability and willingness to mentor Caregivers and other stakeholders as required.
- Well-developed skills in communication, conflict resolution, negotiation and problem solving.
- Competent computer skills including Excel, Microsoft office and Word.
- Knowledge of National Standards.
- Data analysis and interpretation skills to present at appropriate Forums and Committees.
