The Department.
The Vascular Laboratory provides non-invasive diagnostic ultrasound services to both inpatients and outpatients of The Alfred Hospital. The department provides services to a number of clinical units throughout the Hospital and forms part of the Vascular Surgery department. The department is staffed by qualified Vascular Sonographers, Student Vascular Sonographers and Trainee Vascular Sonographers.
The Role
As Vascular Sonographer you will perform and interpret non-invasive vascular investigations, within the laboratory and areas of the hospital. You will be expected to participate in the supervision of trainee & student Sonographers, providing support and guidance in accordance with the Vascular Lab Clinical Protocols. You will also be expected to participate in the out of hours on-call service where on-call duties span a 7-day period approximately once a month.
