Job ad preview Pathology Revenue Officer To provide quality customer focused service to patients, their families and staff. To ensure that Patient billing and Debt Recovery functions are performed in a timely and efficient manner. To also contribute to effective and efficient raising and collection of revenue and cash flow improvements within the Pathology Services and the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network. This role is an integral part of the Pathology Department and requires a commitment to teamwork and co-operation through a flexible and hand-on approach to work, respect of co-workers, an ability to meet team workloads and a willingness to assist to meet team deadlines. The Pathology Revenue Officer should be knowledgeable and competent in all tasks relevant to their role and contribute to the smooth operation of workflow within the Pathology Department. The Pathology Revenue Officer assists the Billing Administrator and Finance Manager in ensuring excellence in service delivery by investigating issues and providing advice and support relating to day to day activities covering the operational aspects of the Pathology Team. High level data entry skills and ability to perform administrative tasks with attention to detail in a demanding workload. Demonstrated effective communication and good interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) within a team environment. Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to set priorities and achieve deadlines. Demonstrated ability in problem solving. Demonstrated ability independently with minimal supervision Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications including PBRC, Oracle and Patient Management.
