The Director of Nursing &Midwifery provides professional leadership, is responsible for the governance and management of nursing and midwifery services to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care and efficient use of resources that reflect current standards of nursing practices at The Sutherland Hospital and Community Health Service, SESLHD and Ministry of Health policy and procedures. Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Superior operational management knowledge and skills with demonstrated ability in leading staff and managing services in a relevant setting Proven ability to ensure the human, physical and financial resources of the service/facility are managed within a defined budget to provide safe, compassionate, quality care that is culturally responsive Superior communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with all level of staff, patients and external agencies and the ability to positively influence organisational change Demonstrated ability in planning and policy implementation using advance analytical and conceptual skills Extensive leadership using contemporary change management methodologies and an understanding of current issues impacting on the nurse profession Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use a variety of computer applications Current drivers licence and ability to travel when required Need more information?
