Are you an enthusiastic and adaptable Clinical or General Psychologist ready to join our Allied Health Team in both inpatient and outpatient settings? Suitable applicants are required to apply for this great career opportunity with The Geelong Clinic.


As a Psychologist/Social Worker/Occupational Therapist your responsibilities will include working in a multi disciplinary team approach, providing intake support, coordination, supervision, assessment and group individual therapy for patients who experience Borderline Personality Disorder or associated symptoms. Linkages will also be required with other day programs. Occasional support will be required across The Geelong Clinic's Day Program and Inpatient roster.


The Geelong Clinic is a 52 bed Psychiatric Hospital that offers a range of inpatient, day programs and outreach services for individuals experiencing mental health problems. Located on the outskirts of Geelong within close proximity to spectacular coastal attractions, the clinic has a number of accredited Psychiatrists supported by a skilled, multi disciplinary team of nursing, allied health , administration and domestic services staff.


Selection Criteria:

The successful candidate must have experience in providing individual therapy, facilitating psych educational groups for inpatients and day patients, and be expected to participate in group meetings and supervision/review sessions.

You will be expected to work effectively within a diverse multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the development of innovative programs. Advanced qualifications and expertise in a particular therapeutic model are welcomed.

The successful candidate will also have:

  • Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or Occupation Therapy as recognised in Victoria or registered with AHPRA
  • Minimum five years clinical experience, ideally in a coordination role
  • Experience with Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and group work essential
  • Mental Health experience
  • Good organisational and negotiation skills
