Midwifery Student 2019

Applications are sought from suitably qualified Division 1 Registered Nurses for the position of Midwifery Student, Grade 2, within the Maternity Unit of Echuca Regional Health.

This position will be a minimum of 0.6 EFT commencing in February 2019 with a duration of 12 months. This position is dependent upon successful enrolment in a Post Graduate Midwifery Course and on-going participation. The successful applicant will also be subject to an initial performance appraisal three months after commencement in the role.

The successful applicant will have significant clinical experience, general knowledge of midwifery, a commitment to the development of the nursing profession, and contribute to teamwork.

Contracted hours will allow for additional supernumerary, unpaid access to the Maternity Unit in order to achieve the required outcomes of the course.  The successful applicant will be entitled to paid study days in accordance with the Award.

This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and a Working with Children’s Check prior to appointment.
