As an expanding business, a new opportunity has presented for a talented Clinical Governance Consultant to join our team.
The primary purpose of this role is to implement and demonstrate leadership in facilitating clinical audits, internal reviews and preparation for homes nearing accreditation. The Clinical Governance Consultant will utilise experience to inform, shape and guide improvements in clinical practice and provide recommendations to the home and centrally through the Clinical Governance & Quality function.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting system and clinical practice reviews
Conducting remote and/or onsite compliance audits in the Homes
Reviewing Accreditation Agency accreditation reports for compliance and improvements
Conducting clinical policy and process reviews
Providing input for the development of Clinical Standards and reporting on compliance of same
Maintaining up to date knowledge of changes to legislation and/or clinical guidelines
Exploring opportunities for external partnerships with research and/or academic institutions
Qualifications Required:
- Registered Nurse (essential)
- Graduate clinical/management qualifcation (desirable)
Experience/Knowledge Required:
- Solid project management and delivery skills
- Good communication skills - written and verbal
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to research and analyse industry and practices
- Proactivity and passion about best practice
- Excellent working knowledge of the aged care industry and residential aged care operations
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice guidelines
- Good knowledge of policy application and implementation
- At least two years relevant experience
- Proven experience with quality and in delivering continuous improvement projects
- Driving licence & own car
This role will be based in our Walkerville office however time will also be spent offsite at Allity home locations across SA. Occasional interstate travel may be required.
