About the role
Due to an internal movement, a unique opportunity has become available for an experienced Pharmacist with demonstrated clinical knowledge and efficient dispensing skills to join our highly skilled team.
This permanent full time role will require you to work 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday at our St Vincent's Private Hospital site in Toowoomba. There is also a requirement to participate on the on-call roster.
Your experience in providing a high level clinical pharmacy service in a hospital setting is essential for this role.
Key responsibilities
- Clinical and professional pharmacist duties including medication profiles, medication management plans and counselling patients
- Dispense and supply of medications in line with legal and professional requirements
- Clinical liaison with the relevant hospital wards and other health professionals
- Assist with business and process improvement initiatives
You must have
- A can-do attitude and team focus
- Proven clinical pharmacy experience
- Experience within a Hospital setting
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of patients and hospital staff
- Attention to detail and precision in record keeping
- The ability to organise complex tasks and solve problems
- Analytical thinking to make sound judgements and develop appropriate innovative solutions
- Proven experience meeting key performance indicators and business objectives
- Current registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
- Membership with a Professional Indemnity Insurance provider
