About the opportunity 

The Senior Project Manager-eClinics provides overall project management and guidance to support the development of an eClinic for the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of eating disorders; coordination of workforce development activities across NSW; and contributes to key strategies and programs of work across the InsideOut Institute for Eating Disorders.

Reporting to the Director, InsideOut Institute, you will:
  • Manage the development and implementation of governance structures, project plans, project processes and resources required to support implementation.
  • Provide effective management of activities and deliverables to ensure milestones and deliverables are realised.
  • Develop and embed project governance and reporting to ensure progress is monitored and risks mitigated.
  • Manage stakeholders and communications, ensuring effective collaboration and team work with other project teams and stakeholders across the University and NSW Health.
This is a part-time, 0.6FTE, 12 month fixed term position.


About you

  • Postgraduate qualifications in health sciences and extensive relevant work experience in eating disorders, including high level expert knowledge of eating disorder management, evidence-based treatment and policy
  • Experience project managing multiple work streams, or leading large complex projects
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and highly organised planning, analysis and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with a variety of matters.
  • Experience managing a diverse group of key internal/external stakeholders on large or complex projects
  • Sound understanding and consistent application of project management competencies including scope, time, quality, HR, communications, cost, risk, procurement and integration
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high quality curriculum programs for health purposes

Previous financial management experience and literacy, experience managing budgets and controlling income and expenditure for a project is highly desirable.

The Boden Institute of Obesity, Nutrition, Exercise & Eating Disorders is committed to reducing the individual and societal impact of obesity and lifestyle-related chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, cancer, mental illness, osteoarthritis and eating disorders. Led by key researchers across the University, the Boden Institute unites the expertise in basic, clinical, public health and policy research with the following objectives:

  • To improve the quality and quantity of research addressing the interface of obesity, eating disorders, nutrition, exercise and metabolic health and clinical intervention

  • To foster excellence in the clinical management of obesity, eating disorders and related chronic disease
The InsideOut Institute is an academic and service support centre resulting from a collaboration between the Boden Institute of Obesity, Nutrition, Exercise & Eating Disorders in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney and the Sydney Local Health District. InsideOut is funded by the Mental Health Branch of the NSW Ministry of Health, specifically for the purpose of developing and implementing strategic planning for eating disorder in NSW, including both service and workforce development.  In addition, InsideOut receives funding for research projects from organisations offering research grants.
