About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide expert advice and play a lead role in the coordination of activities required to facilitate project integration between the technical release and project dependencies for implementation of the Digital Hospital program for Ipswich Hospital. With a focus on general medicine and nursing you will report to the Clinical Change Director and will bring strong project management skills combined with a drive to deliver better care for our patients and community. Previous experience with MS Project or similar project management tools will be highly regarded.
We currently have two vacancies for temporary contracts until January 2019 and this process will be used to fill any future vacancies.* Please note the length of contract has been amended to end in January 2019
About Digital Health
Through digital technology, West Moreton Health will be transforming the way we deliver healthcare to the community we serve. A key component of this will be the introduction of the Integrated Electronic Medical Record (ieMR) as part of a broader roll-out across hospitals and health services in Queensland.
As this project will transform the way health professionals work, a large proportion of the Digital Health team comprises of clinical advisors who know the intricacies of the workflows of each stream of health care, including the Emergency Department, Surgery, Anaesthetics, Radiology and Pathology, Pharmacy, Midwifery and Allied Health.
These ‘Support Crew' clinicians, in conjunction with advanced-trained ‘Super User' clinicians from each medical area, will be on the wards providing hands-on help to their colleagues throughout the implementation process.
The remainder of the Digital Health team are business experts, including education and training, communications, IT and reporting. As West Moreton Health is a person-centred health service, within the Digital Health team there are also dedicated representatives who advocate on behalf of patients.
