An exciting position is open for a Pharmacy Manager at Ramsay Pharmacy at Peninsula Private Hospital, a 24 hour pharmacy in the south-east corridor of Melbourne. Ramsay Pharmacy provides a comprehensive pharmacy service to Peninsula Private Hospital, a 253 bed acute emergency, surgical, medical, cardiac and obstetric facility. As the Pharmacy Manager you will lead the team to deliver patient focused care, engaging with patients and hospital clinical staff and delivering better care health solutions.
Ramsay Pharmacy Group (RPG) is responsible for the provision of specialised pharmacy services to inpatients and day patients within 44 Ramsay Health Care Hospitals in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure delivery of efficient and effective pharmacy services through management of a team of pharmacists and support staff
- Manage and lead the delivery of the clinical and operational pharmacy service
- Liaise with hospital staff
- Educate staff and counsel patients on proper use of medicines.
- Participation in hospital committees
- Reporting functions
- Ensure the pharmacy service operates within its operational budget
Skills and Experience:
- Current registration with APHRA
- Demonstrated contemporary pharmacy experience with ideally hospital pharmacy experience
- Demonstrated management experience
- Organisational skills and a proven capacity to manage a competing workload and to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
