Fronditha Care is a longstanding Aged Care Provider committed to delivering services to Australian elders of a Cultural and Linguistic background. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Cook to join our thriving organisation, on a full time basis, at our St Albans Residential Aged Care Facility, with a focus on providing Greek cuisine.
Some of the responsibilities for this position include:
- Menu planning, ensuring the provision of nutritional, culturally relevant and well presented food to residents;
- Purchasing and ordering stock, ensuring all incoming goods meet requirements.
- Establish and review menus, and prepare foods of all types (keeping in mind the focus on Greek cuisine requirements and preferences of the residents);
- Ensure Workplace Health and Safety requirements are met;
Requirements
The successful applicant will have demonstrated prior experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen, ideally with a background in Greek cuisine and in a residential aged care or similar setting, and qualifications in Hospitality (ideally an Advanced Diploma of Hospitality). They will be a self motivated individual who can organise their workload according to time and priorities, but still meet the requirements of the position. Excellent communication skills are essential. The successful applicant will also be required to undergo a current police check.
