About Us

Lifestart is an NDIA Partner in the Community (PITC) that supports children living with disability or delay, their families and carers. Lifestart delivers Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) services to children aged 0-6 years in the South East Sydney LGAs. The NDIA Grant Agreement provides funding for a three year Program.

About the Role

We are seeking an ECEI Coordinator with a background in Physiotherapy. This is a contracted position supporting the South Eastern Sydney region on a full-time basis for the duration of the funding agreement with NDIA.

You will be the first point of contact for children and their families accessing the NDIA ECEI approach. As a Physiotherapist, you will use your skills and abilities to provide therapy, routines-based intervention strategies and key worker supports for children aged 0-6 years.

With a key focus on the individual needs of the child, the role of an ECEI Coordinator will include:

  • Working in a strengths-based approach to empower and strengthen the ability of families/carers to advocate for and make informed decisions regarding their child’s development and needs.
  • Assessing and determining appropriate early intervention supports and services for children 0 – 6 years of age.
  • Supporting families to access other relevant mainstream and community support services as required to support their needs, and the needs of their child.
  • Assisting in developing and building the capacity of local mainstream and community services to increase inclusion for children with developmental delay or disability.

To be considered, you must have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy or other relevant qualification
  • Current professional registration with a relevant body (APHRA)
  • Experience delivering services and support in disability services, particularly to children, or early childhood intervention
  • Knowledge of NDIS, individualised planning and funding options, and a family-centred approach
  • Hold a current drivers licence and use of a vehicle, to perform the role
