Benetas St George’s is expanding through the refurbishment and opening of the Peter Volk Apartments.  Providing contemporary apartment style living for 64 residents, our residents will feel at home and be supported with person centred care.

The Position

  • Drive the operational and strategic management of the Peter Volk Apartments
  • Effectively lead teams to achieve client care and business outcomes
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, medical staff, Benetas stakeholders and the broader community
  • Accountability for financial performance including occupancy levels, ACFI management and budget outcomes
  • Implement relevant legislative and policy changes and maintain appropriate aged care standards

This role is critical in supporting and implementing our new model of care.  Our care model in premised on providing holistic care services that are person-centred, and offer flexibility and choice for residents.

Skills and Experience

  • Aged care or health management experience, in a supervisory capacity
  • Demonstrated judgement and proficiency in the management of complex situations, such as client complaints and serious incidents
  • Formal qualifications in management or a health related discipline, or comparable business experience
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and communication skills including the ability to build strong relationships
  • Demonstrated understanding of client, family and community needs
  • Experience in financial management, people management and quality management is highly regarded
