The Role:

A fixed term, part time Mental Clinician opportunity has arisen at RCH Mental Health. We are looking for an experienced Mental Health Clinician (Grade 2 Psychologist, Social Worker, Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist or Grade 3 Psychiatric Nurse) for a part time (0.8 EFT) role in our Intake (Triage) Team.

 

You will be working in a lively clinical team with a mix of disciplines and experiences, who together provide great culturally-sensitive care to families seeking our service. The Intake (Triage) Team is a key link between members of the public and clinical services within the Mental Health Department. Intake clinicians are often the first point of contact and are critical in the engagement process for young people and their families.

 

As a Mental Health Clinician you will have demonstrated skills in providing high quality clinical mental health care particularly on quickly triaging and screening children and adolescents, aged 0-18yrs, with moderate to severe mental health difficulties promptly and appropriately via telephone and either accepted into the service or provided with other clinically indicated assistance or referral to more suitable services. You will also have great computer literacy skills and be capable of using a range of Microsoft Office programs and other databases, such as CMI/Rapid, and hospital systems.
