Applications are invited from Registered Medical Practitioners for an Senior Registrar position in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The position is for 12 months commencing 5 February 2019.

The Women’s Health unit at Peninsula Health is looking to recruit motivated year 5 or 6 senior registrars or substantially comparable SIMG to consolidate our commitment to improving outcomes for our patients and services available to the local area. Successful candidates will be offered:
• Opportunities to manage complex obstetric and gynaecologic patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Supervision and back up by consultant staff with scope to extend to manage patients more independently as appropriate.
• Regular exposure to elective gynaecological operating including open surgery, advanced laparoscopic surgery, pelvic floor surgery and gynaecologic oncology.
• Regular shifts in antenatal clinic and on labour ward (including after hours duties) with participation in supervision and teaching of junior trainees and medical students.
• Customisation of rostering where possible for trainees who have a particular interest or need for specific skill development.
• Regular teaching and journal club sessions.

Essential attributes
• AHPRA General registration
• Australian O&G Registrar experience of two years or greater
• RANZCOG SIMG applicants assessed as comparable or partially comparable
