Aveo, a leading retirement owner/operator is seeking an experienced and passionate Enrolled Nurse to join the team at Aveo Freedom Aged Care Redland Bay.
About the role:
Working closely with the Home Care Community Manager, you will be assisting in the provision of quality care services to our residents while ensuring the philosophy, objectives and policies of the community are upheld at all times with regard to resident and organisational needs.
Being resident-focused you naturally demonstrate an empathetic attitude to the needs of the residents and are driven by safety, quality, efficiency and performance, ensuring the team complies with Aveo policies and procedures and that the Aged Care Accreditation Standards are met.
This is a part time role working every second Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 5pm until 9pm and Saturday 7am until 3pm.
What you will need:
- Registered as an Enrolled Nurse with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Previous experience working in gerontic Nursing essential
- Current Police Check clearance or willing to obtain
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate or willing to obtain
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Ability to work within OH&S and a continuous improvement environment
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability and passion to maintain clinical knowledge
- Reliable, flexible approach to rostering (available for PM and overnight shifts and relief day shift as required)
- Strong Leadership qualities- capacity to lead a care team clinically within scope of practice when RNs not onsite
