Holy Spirit Northside Private Hospital (HSNPH) is an established and reputable acute tertiary private Catholic hospital on the Northside of Brisbane; jointly owned by St Vincent’s Health Australia (SVHA). We are known for our comprehensive critical care, as well as inpatient and day patient services across a diverse range of medical and surgical disciplines.
ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic individual to assist the Manager of Perioperative Services to provide effective leadership and coordination of the Central Sterlising Department. This position is open to suitably experienced candidates with current knowledge of all aspects of sterilising services and the requirements of AS/NZS4187.
DUTIES
- Mentor and lead the development of the CSSD team
- Ensure practices within the department are consistent with recognised standards
- Manage financial and human resources
- Liaising with Theatre employees
- Working knowledge or regulations, legislation and common law
- Manage risks and hazards along with infection control situations
- Effectively coordinate quality improvement activities
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Hold a certificate II or III in Sterilisation Technology
- Experience working within a CSSD department
- Proven leadership abilities
- Strong focus on customer service
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication
- Ability to work flexibly within a fast paced environment
