We are currently seeking an Assistant in Nursing for our Leighton nursing Home in West Perth, who will provide kind, safe, effective, quality and individual care to our care recipients which will include, but not be limited to, assisting care recipients with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, medication assistance, eating, mobility and social activities in accordance with care recipient care plans. This is a permanent part-time position.

To be successful in this position you will possess the following:

• Certificate IV qualification in Aged Care
• Must have at least 1 year experience working as an AIN in the Aged Care Setting
• Ability to follow nursing procedures as directed and in line with care recipient care plans
• Ability to work as a team player with strong communication skills
• Compassionate, dedicated and caring nature with the ability to build strong rapport with care recipients
• National Police Certificate
• Ability to report and document nursing care procedures
• Computer skills
• Competent  documentation skills
• Flexible working attitude with willingness to work as required across a 24/7 rotating roster
• Knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Act (1997)
• Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
• Medication competent trained – desirable
• Full work rights in Australia
