Full Time Maximum Term until 30th June 2019

South Western Sydney PHN (SWSPHN) is a not-for-profit health organisation funded by the Australian Government Department of Health which aims to create an effective, innovative and integrated health system for South Western Sydney.

This Practice Support Officer role is part of the dynamic Service Support team of SWSPHN and will be responsible for:

  • Supporting general practices in SWSPHN's region, to improve the health of their patients.
  • Encouraging and supporting improved business practices for General Practice.
  • Ensuring relevant clinical programs are rolled out to General Practices.
  • Build ICT capacity within general practice as an enabler for quality and integration

The role will be full time on a fixed term contract until 30th June 2019. Regular travel within the SWSPHN region will be required, with some out of hours work also expected.

About You

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
  • Current NSW driver’s licence and access to a comprehensively insured motor vehicle.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated experience working in the primary healthcare industry, including working with General Practitioners.
  • High level organisational skills including the capacity to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to build, develop and sustain positive partnerships and productive working relationships with all levels of stakeholders (internally and externally), including individuals from diverse backgrounds with a commitment to customer service.
  • Excellent computer skills (including word processing, data entry and email).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
