Applications are invited from Registered Clinical Psychologists to work with Independent Schools in WA to provide assessment and intervention for students in our CARE (Curriculum and Re Engagement) schools. Applications would also be accepted from Clinical Registrars with suitable skills and experience.
The contract will commence as soon as practicable for the successful candidate and conclude at the end of June 2021.
The position will be part of a collaborative team at AISWA to assist CARE schools in providing assessment, intervention and referral for students with a range of needs. The successful candidate will carry out psychological assessments to appraise cognitive, emotional and behavioural functioning, i.e. interviews, behavioural observations, psychometric and psycho-diagnostic assessments in accordance with the Australian Psychological Society guidelines. Additional duties may include consultation and support to school staff and parents/guardians of students, liaison with external supports including Mental Health Services and private health professionals and crisis support to schools where necessary.
