THE ORGANISATION 
On the back of continued growth, our client is seeking a forward-thinking Optometrist to join their vibrant team in their modern brand New Shellharbour Store! With a focus on flexibility, the practice is open to part-time or full-time applicants and will consider condensed hours, alternate weekends and whatever your needs may be in your current situation.
  
  
THE ROLE
Your role first and foremost will be clinical, you will be conducting sight tests in 20 - 30 min slots. There will also be some contact lens work involved coming to the business within the next few months!  As with every company a key part of the role of an optometrist is to make recommendations that lead to sales, however quality care will always be equally important as any potential financial rewards.
  
As an Optometrist you will work as part of a team focused on delivering total satisfaction to customers by conducting thorough eye examinations, contact lens assessments and contact lens after care.
You will offer their customers recommendations to the highest professional and ethical standards – which is something customers have come to expect. You will also use your knowledge to effectively identify customers’ needs and recommend eyewear and eye care solutions accordingly.
  
Ideally our client is looking for an Optometrist to play an active role in the provision of mentoring the store team as well as providing technical advice and guidance to encourage best practice at all times.
  

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
To apply to this unique position you MUST be a fully qualified, AHPRA registered Optometrist. You will be a strong communicator with excellent people skills and the ability to put your customers at ease.
