About the business and the role

Bright FACES is an award winner for business and service delivery excellence.  We are a Department of Social Service (formally FaHCSIA) accredited early intervention service provider through the Federal Government's Helping Children With Autism and Better Start Packages and also an NDIS registered provider.

Bright FACES has a Multidisciplinary Allied Health Clinic in Melton and is a well established and respected practice.  The City of Melton is a rapidly developing locality, only 40mins on the highway from Westgate Bridge and hence, the reason why we are experiencing a huge demand.  

Be part of this exciting opportunity to join our friendly team consisting of Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapist and Admin Support Staff.  This professional role allows autonomy for you to grow and develop your special interest.  You will receive regular meetings with the Director and be well supported by our other practitioners.

This position has recently become available with a minimum case load of 2-2.5 days, with potential to increase. The successful applicant can therefore start immediately with clients booked and ready to go. A full handover will be provided.  Work is predominantly in-office consults with some opportunity to do out of office consults in the western suburbs (e.g. schools, home, creche).

Job tasks and responsibilities

The speech pathologist will:

  • perform all duties that a speech pathologist's role requires (e.g. Assessment, Intervention, Support, Educate). 
  • be responsible for the planning and facilitation of their case load. 
  • deliver group programmes, support other practitioners within the clinic.
  • develop and present information sessions/workshops.

The ideal candidate will have a sound history of experience to support clinical speech pathologist placements and lead the speech pathology team.  Bright FACES is looking to grow its Speech Pathology Department.

Skills and experience

Successful applicants must have:
• Appropriate qualifications and experience,
• Current and full registration with SPA.
• Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
• Working with Children Check,
• Own transport.
